TEEN DATING VIOLENCE OUTREACH PROGRAM

ANNUAL EVENT:  TEEN SELF DEFENSE CLASS

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. The ECDVC partners with the Okinawan Karate Studio and D.A.R.E to teach local teenagers how to size up a situation and decide what actions to take.

VINTAGE AFTERNOON TEA PARTY

The ECDVC partners with community victim response and support agencies for an afternoon of fun, tea tasting, delectable finger foods and a silent auction.  A "Best Tea Hat" contest closes the afternoon's events.  Proceeds enable us to carry our mission in the community.

BULLYING INTERVENTION OUTREACH PROGRAM

ANNUAL EVENT:  ST LUKE’S ELMORE

CHILDREN’S HEALTH FAIR

The annual St. Luke's Elmore Children's Health Fair is held in June. The ECDVC is one of the many local organizations on hand to promote healthy living choices.  The council  educates children and their parents on the effects of bullying.

AIR FORCE APPRECIATION DAY

The annual Air Force Appreciation Day events are hosted by the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce on the Friday and Saturday following Labor Day each year. The ECDVC is one of the many organizations on hand to thank our military for all they do for our country and our local communities.

 

 

HARVEST FOR HOPE BENEFIT AUCTION and DINNER

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  The annual Harvest for Hope Benefit Auction and Dinner is our largest fundraising event of the year.  The council has teamed up with American Legion Post #26 to provide the venue for an evening of great food and fun with captivating Keynote Speakers.

HEALTH and WELLNESS DAY

 

The annual Health and Wellness Day Fair is held in October. The ECDVC booth is geared towards informing the community of available services and educating our senior citizens on the prevalence of Abuse in Later Life.

 

 

RAILROAD PARK RUMMAGE SALE

 

The council held their first Annual Rummage Sale at the season's last local market at Railroad Park.  The funds raised were donated to the American Legion Post #26 for their Annual Food Drive to the Veteran's Homes.  The council donated all unsold items to the Nazarene Church's Community Free-for-All in November.  We look forward to making this a time honored tradition of the council.
