Revised 04/08/2024
Our victim advocates are trained to support victims of crime. Victim advocates offer emotional support, victims' rights information, help in finding needed resources and assistance in filling out crime victim-related forms amongst other things.
Everyone needs a good support system whether it is a family member or us at ECDVC. Non-judgmental social, informational, and practical support to all crime victims and survivors is provided. We promote safety, healing, justice, and rights for victims and survivors. ECDVC ensures a voice for victims and survivors through the implementation of victim-centered policies and practices, to build a support system. Advocacy is focused on safety and supporting survivors to rebuild control over their lives. Survivors lead the process, choose their own goals, and define what is going to be safer for themselves.
